The Haddonfield SC is pleased to welcome area youth soccer teams to our exciting and unique, preseason event. The tournament will be held on 8/26/17 (rain date 8/27/17), entirely at our Crows Woods complex; which underwent a complete renovation in the summer of 2008 and now boasts some of the best grass fields in south jersey.
In each of our first eights years the tournament has grown and we expect it to do so again this summer. In 2008 we expanded the event to include U11. This year we will be hosting U8-U12 boys and girls teams. In order to continue our commitment to a fun event with personal service, we will be capping registration at 40 teams this year.
Below, please find some of the highlights of our fun, one-day event.
2 Games 1 Day -- Why give up an entire precious summer weekend when you can get your team some quality preseason play in just one day?
Full 60 Minute Games -- In the U8-U12 ages most other tournaments offer three shortened (typically 50 minute) games. The Haddonfield Kick-Off Classic offers teams two full games, just as teams will play very soon during league play.
Reasonable Entry Fee -- Our fees of $300 for small-sided teams are an absolute bargain when compared to the fees of other full-weekend events. Yes, we only offer two games and the others offer three, but when you compare game minutes our fee provides excellent value for your team's soccer budget.
Top Quality Facilities -- All four fields at the Crows Woods complex are now irrigated and are in great shape after a rigorous improvement effort and three of them are available for night play.
Atmosphere -- This is a well-organized, kids-first tournament. What started as an event to encourage mid-to-lower level teams to try a preseason event has grown to be a nice fit for teams at every level of play. The focus, though, remains on providing balanced competition in a fun environment for all teams. Our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that everyone leaves as satisfied customers.
These are some of the main reasons that we feel strongly that our event is a great fit for many area teams. Beyond that, we also have excellent grilled burgers, dogs, sausage and peppers; along with all the other normal concession items, served in a friendly, festive environment.
Finally, our tournament staff will work very hard to help schedule your games such that you find well-matched opponents and sensible game times that work with your team's scheduling needs.
